The development team at Konami says that it currently has no plans to launch its upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 on the Xbox One home console from Microsoft or on the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
Adam Bhatti, a developer working on the football game, states via Twitter that, "Not in the business for high-res next-gen ports."
He adds, "The fact we’re not on PS4 or Xbox One with PES 2014 is simple: we can’t and shouldn’t be just using higher quality textures etc should be new."
Konami promises that PES 2014 will introduce more emotion to football simulation, courtesy of the new Fox Engine technology.
Despite not coming to next-gen devices, the game will get a version for the older PSP in addition to launches on the PC, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
